It all started as a small solo acoustic, post-covid, Bub City dream. Lloyd was playing acoustic on stage all by himself until friend and bar manager Timmy Muldoon said “IT’S TIME TO DREAM BIGGER, LLOYD! THE PEOPLE ARE READY FOR IT!”. So he and Southside legend Chris James put a band together and started “The Big Rig Boyz” with Frank Alongi on drums and Andrew Vogt on bass. Rendition’s Chris Cash also plays bass and drums.
Chris James retired shortly after, and there was only one person who could fill and bedazzle his boots. That’s right. Chicago singer: Caitlin Simone! And so The Big Rig Band was born. Entertaining River North’s finest young adults with country music covers and song requests.
